During this preliminary period of the project, i have been using hobby electronics website http://www.adafruit.com/ to conduct most of my research as it contains a significant amount of tutorials and ideas based around the Raspberry Pi. For the hardware research I have been visiting the official Raspberry PI website http://www.raspberrypi.org/ and its' forum which also provided some very helpful tutorials based on small projects undertaken using the Raspberry PI.
This is another video tutorial found on the video sharing website YouTube about using the Raspberry PI to control a DC motor which is something similar to what we want to achieve at the end of this project however, we are yet to decide what will be controlled by the Raspberry PI.

As part of the research process for this project we have found this very useful video tutorial on the video sharing website YouTube about WiFi wireless internet on the Raspberry Pi.

Upon receiving our project allocation today we convened our first of many project meetings. Today's meeting focused on brainstorming and outlining some details and specifications for our project. We concluded our meeting with a basic overview of what our project can deliver before we broke off to begin our research into specific technologies required for this project.
